FQHC Mission

Arcare operates as a Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). FQHCs are community-based health centers that provide high-quality primary care and preventive services in medically underserved areas and for underserved populations. They are designed to make care accessible and affordable, including providing services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay through a sliding fee discount program that adjusts charges based on a patient’s income and household size.

FQHCs also emphasize patient-centered, team-based care and often help patients access supportive services and community resources that improve overall health and access to care. Health centers are community-based and patient-directed, including governance structures that ensure community needs remain at the center of decision-making.

At Arcare, this model aligns directly with our mission of “Health for All” and our commitment to treating every patient with dignity while working to reduce barriers to care across the communities we serve.
