School-Based Health Centers

We believe every student deserves the best chance to succeed. Through partnerships with local school districts, Arcare provides on-campus healthcare so students and staff can get care without leaving campus.

Convenient, On-Site Care

Our school-based health centers bring full medical services right to campus. With doctors, nurses, and counselors on-site, students and school district staff can get primary and preventive care quickly and conveniently, just like at any Arcare clinic. Depending on the school, we may offer:

On-Campus Clinics: These may be stand-alone buildings open to the public; however, students and district staff can “hop the line” and be seen before the community. We also offer smaller clinics inside school buildings, which are exclusively for students and district staff. Each location includes exam rooms and necessary medical equipment.
Telehealth Options: For schools with limited space, we offer telehealth services so students and staff can see an Arcare provider online during school hours. If the school has a nurse, our providers work with them to assist with any physical exams. Parents are always welcome to join the telehealth visit from their personal devices as well.

How the Telehealth School Program Works

On-Site Arcare Nurse: A licensed Arcare nurse will be on-site at the school to assist students needing care.
Remote Provider: If the nurse feels your child should see a provider, they’ll reach out to you for consent to start a telehealth session with an Arcare provider.
Remote Parent Conference: You can join the telehealth call remotely, allowing you, your child, and the provider to discuss the best treatment options together.
