With our pledge to health excellence, ARcare is optimistic that we all can do our part in mitigating the rising cost of health insurance premiums for years to come while concurrently guiding our employees and their dependents toward A Healthier You.
Thank everyone who participated last year. These wellness visits help identify chronic diseases early. Early detection helps lead to better outcomes. This helps everyone’s insurance cost. Due to this campaign last year, our health insurance remained the same per paycheck for the first time in over a decade. We did not see an increase.
Complete your confidential wellness exam by June 30 and we’ll add a $50 bonus to your paycheck within 60 days of completion.
IF we reach 100% of all employees (that are on our company’s health insurance), everyone who participated will receive an extra floating holiday to be used the second half of the year (with manager approval, must be hired before 5/31).

Can I go to my exam during working hours?
Yes. You may schedule your exam during working hours. For hourly employees, you do not need to clock out for your exam.
What if I just got my wellness exam?

How do I schedule my wellness exam so it counts toward my $50 bonus?
There are two ways to schedule “A Healthier You” wellness exam.
You can click here and complete the form. Lauren Fields, R.N. (Chief Nursing Officer) will then contact you to schedule your appointment after this form is completed.
You also have the option to contact your local ARcare/KentuckyCare/MississippiCare clinic to schedule your appointment personally. Tell the appointment desk you need to schedule an “A Healthier You wellness visit“.
Is getting a wellness exam mandatory for employees?
No. Participation in the “A Healthier You” wellness program is not required. However, in order to receive the $50 bonus, eligible individuals must complete the wellness exam.
Who is eligible to receive the $50 bonus?
Employees who are covered under the ARcare Health Plan are eligible to participate in the “A Healthier You” wellness program. Eligible individuals who participate and fulfill the wellness exam requirements will receive a $50 bonus.
What is included in the wellness exam?
Prior to your exam, you will receive a link via secure e-mail to the medical questionnaire. The questionnaire will include a series of questions about your health-related activities and behaviors and whether you have or have had certain medical conditions (e.g. cancer, diabetes, or heart disease). Please complete this questionnaire before your exam.
The exam will include, but is not limited to:
- Height and weight
- Vital Signs: temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen level
- Heart and lungs exam using a stethoscope
- Head and neck exam
- Abdominal exam
- Blood panel
The exam will not include male/female anatomy exams or a stress test (treadmill).
Is there a deadline for my exam?
Yes. Exams must be completed by June 30, 2024, to be eligible for the $50 bonus.
Is my spouse and/or dependents covered under the ARcare plan eligible for the incentive?
No. Only the employee is eligible.
When will I receive my $50 bonus?
The bonus will be added to your paycheck within 60 days of completing your wellness exam.
